The heroes ventured into an old Nashers hideout in the Blacklake District and encountered Kabal, a member of the Many-Starred Cloak who worked alongside Gyrion, Nostura, and another mage called Lukan. After reaffirming his right to rule the city and confirming that Gyrion was an imposter, Lord Neverember was charmed by the warlock Nostura who attempted to seize the genuine crown. As the revolutionary Nashers assailed the city, Lord Neverember was protected by the Heroes of Sleeping Dragon Bridge, Xuna, and Sergeant Knox in the vaults beneath Protector's Enclave.
